IFC Semantic OpenBIM Coordination Standards
Standard 1:Spatial Hierarchy Binding: Every BIM object must inherit a structured project path: IfcProject -> IfcSite -> IfcBuilding -> IfcBuildingStorey to pass grid checks.
Standard 2:Model View Definition (MVD) Profiles: Set the export wizard to Reference View 2.0 if the recipient only needs to coordinate positions, or Design Transfer MVD for edits.
Standard 3:Semantic Class Mapping: Confirm elements map to correct classifications (e.g. IfcWall, IfcSlab). Avoid generic BuildingElementProxy fallbacks to clear validation checks.
